30-Day Photo Challenge | Days 6 - 7 - 8

I'm catching up! I'm catching up!
This coming week I'm hoping to get a few product/company reviews posted in between the Photo Challenge posts, so stay tuned for some One Hand Washes the Other, some baby gifts I purchased for a few good friends, a couple of Sephora and random buys, and more. Without further ado...

:::  DAY 6: SOMETHING YOU'D LIKE TO WEAR MORE OFTEN  :::

{I love these boots, but they're terrible in the snow so they weren't worn much.}
{Bought this dress a few years ago, still haven't worn it, but I still love it!}

:::  DAY 7: CLOTHING THAT EVOKES A GOOD MEMORY  :::

{I wore this dress about 8 years ago when I converted to the Catholic faith at the Easter Vigil. One of the most important events in my life, which was during my junior year in college — and I'll always keep this dress.}
{My character shoes for theater. Lots of great performance memories come with these shoes — and hopefully more to come!}

:::  DAY 8: A DAILY MUST-HAVE ITEM  :::

There was no way to narrow it down to one, so here are three. :}

{The only product that successfully tames my crazy hair.}
{Headrush - makes my hair shiny and soft.}
{I'm pretty much blind without contacts or glasses, and these are my newest pair of glasses that I'm quite fond of.}

I'll be back tomorrow to finish days 9, 10 and 11... and maybe a few extra posts at some point.

Stay Fabulous!

30-Day Photo Challenge - Day 5

Shhhh, don't tell anyone... I'm behind on this challenge by a few days. I'll catch up today and tomorrow though! I feel bad since I started this thing and there are other lovely bloggers who are doing it way better than I am. :} Speaking of... check out these bloggers who {that I'm aware of} are participating in the challenge!

:::  DAY 5: BEST BARGAIN BUY  :::

This is the second LashStash set I've purchased from Sephora. This one was purchased in January and had a better selection than previous LashStash sets — it has two full-size mascaras, plus Clinique's eye-makeup remover. Past sets only had the seven "deluxe" mascaras, nothing else. But the price didn't change, so I thought it was a good buy. Especially because I can never find the right mascara, and it's not one of those products that I can just buy randomly just to test it out... if they were only $6 drugstore purchases sure, but the nice mascaras that work for me are more expensive. So this set was a great way to try out new formulas and brands without committing to a full-size {yet}. My favorites from the set are the top two "mini" mascaras: Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara and Too Faced LashGasm.

What are your favorite bargain buys?

30-Day Photo Challenge - Day 4

:::  DAY 4: FAVORITE EYESHADOW COLOR  :::

Top Row | Brands: Fyrinnae, Madd Style, Madd Style, Virus Insanity, Chinovi, Chinovi, Black Rose Minerals.
Bottom Row | Brands: Madd Style, Glamour Doll Eyes, Glamour Doll Eyes, Darling Girl, Fyrinnae, My Pretty Zombie, Mineral Maven.

Obviously, my favorite eyeshadow color is purple. There doesn't seem to be a single shade of purple that doesn't work well for my complexion, and I can't say that about any other color. This was just a small sampling of my purple collection. :}

30-Day Photo Challenge - Day 3

:::  DAY 3: SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER WORN  :::

{Nude Peep-Toe Wedges from Target}
{PUMA Running Shorts, puma.com}
I bought the shoes on clearance, but didn't try them on. Turns out they're a bit too tight, so I'll have to set them aside until I lose some weight. The shorts are brand-new and I just haven't gotten around to wearing them for a workout yet.

30-Day Photo Challenge - Day 2

:::  DAY 2: A SCENT/PERFUME YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT  :::

{PINK by Victoria's Secret Aloha Wild & Breezy: To me, the red guava and pink passionflower notes make this really fresh and sexy.}
{pureDKNY: A beautiful and feminine blend of lotus flower, Bulgarian rose, freesia, jasmine, orchid and a drop of vanilla}
{Fresh Snow from One Hand Washes the Other: It's like a shower-fresh, clean and crisp fabric softener scent. It's a stock fragrance, but OHWTO has the best version of this scent out of all the companies I've tried — which is a lot.}
{Aquolina Pink Sugar: Just as the name suggests — pink sugar. Sweet and girly, but not sickly sweet or overpowering. Just perfect and delicious.}

I couldn't choose just one perfume, so I opted for my four favorites that I rotate through regularly.

30-Day Photo Challenge - Day 1

:::  DAY 1: YOUR WARDROBE  :::

{My Closet — the washer and dryer are in there too, on the other side}
{I love shoes}

These pictures were taken when I first moved into my new apartment. Take that, then double {maybe triple} the amount of clothes and shoes — that's what it looks like now. And not nearly as organized. :} I have a problem.

30-Day Photo Challenge - The Details

Happy Thursday to all!

I've decided to do a 30-Day Fashion/Beauty Photo Challenge, based loosely on a few photo challenges I've seen on other blogs. I created my own version of this challenge, which you'll see below. I'm excited to get started!

:::  ADDITIONAL DETAILS  :::

- If you participate or promote via Twitter, feel free to use #30daysofphotos as a tag.
- You can make it a photo-only challenge without any accompanying explanation, or you can explain as much as you want.
- Each day is completely open to interpretation. If it just says, "Pink!" — it can be pink eyeshadow, pink clothing, pink nails, pink anything. The point is just to have fun and get to know people through photos.
- If you want to use the photo below for your own posts, click {HERE} for the file path.

I can't wait to see what others do with this!
I'll be following up with my first photo later on today.

Any questions, just let me know!

Stay Fabulous!

Chinovi Cosmetics: Review | Swatches

This has been a long time coming! Vanessa, the owner of Chinovi Cosmetics, was looking for some honest feedback on her new company/products a few months back, and offered some nice sample packages to those who were interested. Of course I was interested! I love trying out new companies and watching them grow over time. As far as Chinovi goes, I have a feeling we'll be seeing some great things from this company. :}

This particular package of samples was sent for consideration, and all opinions are solely my own.

:::  THE SPECS  :::

At the moment, Chinovi Cosmetics is offering sample packages in either baggie or clamshell form. I can't wait until Vanessa adds full sizes to her line! In the meantime, you can pick up 8 sample baggies for $5.00 {1/8-tsp}, 13 sample clamshells for $10.00 {1/8-tsp} or 20 sample clamshells for $15.00 {1/8-tsp}. The baggie samples I received contained a gracious amount of product — what I assume is more than 1/8-tsp. It was the same for the clamshell samples I ordered recently. And even if it was exactly 1/8-tsp, the products are certainly worth every penny.

:::  THE OPINIONS  :::

Since this is a new company to many people, I'll be a bit more thorough with my opinions.
As soon as I opened my package, I could tell it was prepared by someone who really paid attention to little details and made sure everything she sent out was pristine in presentation. Starting with the packaging and products in general, I loved the simplicity. A nice pink bag held the sample baggies, along with a handful of business cards for referral purposes. The labels on the baggies are clear and easy to read, as well as informative — all of the ingredients are listed right on the front. Very nice presentation overall.

In terms of the eyeshadows themselves, I loved everything! The samples were picked for me, and they were very accurate in terms of colors I would have picked for myself. The opacity of each color is fantastic, and every single one applied smoothly and evenly on a variety of different bases — I tried them on bare skin, on UDPP, on UDPP + NYX Jumbo Pencil, on UDPP + Glitter Glue — and they looked equally as great each time. I found the best color payoff came from the UDPP + Glitter Glue combination, though some of the shimmery colors looked fantastic layered over just the NYX Jumbo Pencil. Depending on what your needs are in terms of longevity and coverage {I have oily lids and need to use the primer and a base regardless}, these eyeshadows are quite versatile and just lovely to wear.

My favorites out of the bunch are Monster, Fun House and Fun Day. I have some new favorites now after receiving another order recently, but I'll discuss those in a separate post. If you've tried Chinovi, let me know your thoughts! If not, which colors would you be interested in trying out? You never know when I might use the info in a future *giveaway*... ;}
